MeddiQuest has just become the latest in growing band of start-up technology companies to move into Stevenage Borough Council’s Business and Technology Centre (BTC) on Bessemer Drive.
Neil Armstrong, Managing Director, said "Interest in our services has been so great that it is clear we need the broad range of services and excellent communications that the BTC offers."
MeddiQuest specializes in Regulatory Affairs Management for the Medical Device Industry. Armstrong describes the role as: "bringing together safety-oriented government agencies and a cost-conscious industry, to get safe and effective devices at an affordable price. After all, health care providers must be able to afford to use them!"
MeddiQuest’s mission is to find simple strategies for manufactures, to bring novel and high-tech medical devices to the market and to commence volume manufacture. Armstrong believes that targeted drug delivery systems and improved patient monitoring will be the next great leaps in Health Care. "Getting the drug to right place in body and knowing the effect it is having will be the key that turns a laboratory curiosity into an safe and effective medicine."
MeddiQuest is a transatlantic business, managing the introduction of devices to the U.S. market for European Customers and vice versa. Armstrong is well qualified to develop this market, being one of only seven U.K. residents to be "Regulatory Affairs Certified" in the U.S.A. and a Member of the British Institute of Regulatory Affairs.
